So clearly we see that the number 3 is very important in "The Metamorphosis." Now I find this interesting because Kafka was Jewish, so therefore would not believe in the Trinity. Why do you think he includes 3 so much?

I could be completely wrong but this is just a thought. Maybe since Kafka also felt like this “bug” the trinity is just another thing he didn’t believe in that alienated him from society. He obviously felt lesser than the people around him or metaphorically a bug. So, maybe he presented this as another example of his differences from those around him.
if we went with what jacob is talking about, it kinda would make sense to say that the trinity alienates him from society at least in reference to the three other members of his family. They keep him locked up in his room etc, and (probably importantly) pretty much solely to keep themselves in good social standing. I'd be interested to see if there are any other instances of the number 3 oppressing Greggor
