Hey Erica, this is probably the most moving blog post I've come across this whole year. You said so little yet so much. I second your statement.

Someone finally said it. I listen to a song called Someone tell the boys they’re not important anymore by Samia. They’re definitely the worst. They have a certain.... ingrained egocentric audacity. For sure. Somehow our lives are often defined by our relationships with men. Our sense of worth can sometimes seem to be tied to a man’s opinion. I’ve been working on this. Before I go tying my worth to a man, I’ll ask myself whether or not I actually respect him. I’ll tie my worth to the opinions of people I do respect. Society ingrained into my unconscious the idea that all men deserve respect. Some people do. Some people don’t. Listen to those you respect.

Much to everyone's surprise, I, too, second this to an extent. While I don't hate myself, there are certain members of my gender that overall embarrass males as a whole either through pure stupidity or sheer degenerate, inappropriate, childish, or even criminal behavior. So, don't worry Leven, I didn't take offense.

Hello. I'm back again to second this. Men as a general whole anger me. Of course there are exceptions to every rule, but the majority of men that I've met either annoy me to death, or are just super condescending. I know I've told some of you this already, but a while ago, some guy in our grade who will remain unnamed for the sake of me not being a bully, was very condescending to me. I was talking to Mya, no one else, about how it's difficult for me to find shoes in stores (I wear a size 11, so not a lot of stores carry them in the actual store, if at all), and clothes that fit me properly because my height and weight often make me in between sizes. So, as I was telling MYA this, this guy butts in out of nowhere and interrupts me. I said "society loves small women more-" and he cuts me off and goes "that's not even remotely true." Oh okay! My bad! I forgot that you, the most toxic straight man I've ever met in my life, know more about buying women's clothes than I do! I guess I'm just a stupid girl who doesn't know what she's talking about ahahah I'm so glad I have men around me to tell me that I don't know what it's like to be a woman ahahah
