What Level of Hell should Dante go to?!

Personally, I do no really care for Dante. I think he thinks too highly of himself and is also kind of violent. From the sections we have read I don't think Dante will really be going to heaven. I took the level of hell test, but as if I were Dante. So realistically, by his own standards, I think Dante will be going to the 5th level of hell. What do you guys think?

I think that Dante would go to Circle 8 as he is clearly a sower of discord as seen through his actions in Inferno. He disrupts the workings of Hell and interferes with the creatures that are just trying to do their jobs. Dante also sows discord by creating a system of that is clearly inconsistent and causes much debate where everyone is supposed to be.

I'd personally love to see Dante in Judecca for no other reason than the fact that I don't like him.

Dante should definitely be in the 8th circle, for those who’ve committed fraud. Hell is fundamentally not meant for the living, therefore Dante is breaking the rules of other worlds. Dante is essentially cheating the system. He’s been let in on the mystery of Hell by seeing and being “warned” about what could possibly his future. As humans, we’re not supposed to know the structure of heaven and hell until our fate brings us there. Dante has done what is forbidden by this own deception.

I disagree that he would go to the eighth circle just for being a human in hell. This whole journey is ordained by the heavens. So, obviously he’s not doing anything wrong there. However, I do think he should be in the eighth circle. This man thinks wayyyy too highly of himself. And, he is especially hypocritical in his criticism of his enemies. Therefore he should be in the eighth circle with the hypocrites, but not for going to hell. He should be there just for writing this thing in the way that he did.
