The Waste Land and Coronavirus paper

Hi everyone! How are y'all doing? I just turned in my outline and wanted to see how y'all like writing about The Waste Land and Coronavirus. Personally, writing essays isn't my favorite thing to do, but I actually really enjoyed writing this outline. It was kind of fun to do the research and to make comparisons between the two. This was probably the most I have ever enjoyed writing a paper. So, I was wondering if y'all had the same thoughts and if y'all enjoyed it too? Please let me know! On the other hand, if you didn't enjoy writing it, why? What other papers have you enjoyed writing more?

Hey Mal, I'm doing well!! I hope you are too... However, I'm a little upset that you drove to Lindsey's house the other day but have yet to come see me. I miss you. But most importantly Steven.

I agree that this paper's topic was definitely very interesting to write about, and I think it's because the situation at hand is so personal to us. Most of the time, papers are very impersonal, and we are writing about an author's opinion and what they're trying to portray. We never get to tell the story ourselves; we only get to comment on it. However, this paper really lets us take control of the narrative (or at least what we believe the narrative to be.) It feels like what we're writing about will really still hold importance to us years from now, and that is pretty cool.

Hey Soph, I am sorry I haven't come to visit you yet. I will put it on my "To Do" list. But when I come we have to be six feet apart !!! Also, I am kind of upset that you like Steven more than me. :( - for those who don't know, Steven is my 24 year old brother -

I agree with Sophia, once I was able to figure out my thesis, I really enjoyed getting to write a paper that ultimately came from my own experiences rather than those of the author. I thought it was also a great way to ensure that we are educating ourselves on the current situation and learning about the world around us. I am enjoying this project a lot so far, and I hope that everyone else is too.

I agree with Brandon in that it's a good way for us to educate ourselves on what's happening and sift through the misinformation we may find online, but I have found it somewhat difficult to relate personally. It probably has a good deal to do with how I'm still able to talk to friends online and have social interaction, if not in person, so I don't feel as isolated as some people might. So I have found it somewhat difficult to find the same sense of solitude to relate to the poem, but I have been able to research online some issues nowadays that the message still relates to.
