Degas in the MFL!
I'm sitting in study hall right now, and I just wanted to let everyone know that I feel really culturally educated thanks to humanities and studying for that test today! I'm sitting on the stage on the table next to the bookshelf and I looked over and saw a book called Degas in New Orleans by Christopher Benfey. As soon as I pulled it out I was able to identify the cover as A Cotton Exchange in New Orleans. It made me feel smart, haha. Thank you humanities!

That's pretty neat. I am pretty sure that I've driven by the Degas house that he lived in back in the day.

It is extremely cool noting that a famous artist found my hometown interesting enough to paint it. It really shows the truly historic and colorful history of New Orleans.
yea Im glad I'm taking the class, I've learned about a lot of stories/art that I have always heard about. I wish we went a little slower but it's good that we are hitting everything
I agree. As I was looking at the front page of the paper I saw Degas' painting of the cotton exchange and I was pleasantly surprised to know what painting that was. It's interesting to see things that we study in class in our real lives.
