300: an accurate representation of the Greco-Persian wars
300, a renowned film, where 300 half naked macho men, known as the Spartans, take part in the ruthless battle of Thermopylae, is actually historically accurate. 300, though at its core, an action film, helps movie watchers put a picture to the gruesome nature and ruthless war tactics of the battle of Thermopylae. The Spartans were known for their skills on the battle field and I feel that Gerard butler and his group of solders recreate their barabic style perfectly. Now there are few things that make the movie a little less believable; for example, the main villain, Xerxes, is literary 8 feet tall and sounds like a didgeridoo. Nonetheless, 300 is a great depiction of the barbaric style the Spartans brought to the battle field and juts how resilient them Greeks were.
