Inez

I don't know about you guys, but I have always thought that of the characters in No Exit, Inez is the best of them. And not because I'm biased, having played her part. I think that she is at least honest with herself and everyone around her - even if at times she seems almost too brutally honest. She is the first to come forward with her crime which makes you trust her. She doesn't sugar-coat everything like Estelle or show insecurity like Garcin. She doesn't try to make excuses. I think that if I were in hell, I would want to be with someone like Inez, because God knows that someone as fake as Estelle or as self-centered as Garcin would get on my nerves reallllyyyy fast.

I think Inez is basically Sartre. She doesn't really seem to much controlled by others. And, she always reminds the characters of what they really. I could be missing something, but she seems like she is basically Sartre

I think Inez is the character that delivers the "gaze" the most often. Her honesty really does affect Estelle and Garcin. If I were in hell I think that I would want someone like Inez with me because I would definitly try to deny the situation.

I think Inez is a really interesting character. She accepts the things she does and Sartre uses her as his way of expressing what she wants. She delivers the gaze in a very distinct way that forces Garcin to reflect on himself and admit his faults as a coward.

Honestly, I think getting trapped with Channing Tatum for eternity would eventually drive me crazy. But i see what you mean by saying that she would be the best out of the three. I agree with Aly and think that what she says directly affects Garcin and Estelle. She sort of brings their situation to light since both Garcin and Estelle are in a state of denial and Inez straight up tells them what she thinks.
