The similarities between the structures of Inferno and The Great Chain of Being
It is evident that the great chain of being was an important aspect of Dante's time. After doing some research on the structure of the circles of hell, I found that Inferno looks like a pinched version of the great chain of being. Furthermore, The structures of all three of Dante's canticles shared the same "pinches" structure
