1. Eliot was known for being very serious and have a straight face most of the time. Virginia Wolf once wrote in a letter to her brother-in-law, "come to lunch, Eliot will be there in a four-piece suit," implying that Eliot was often seen in serious attire.
2. Eliot did not want anyone writing a biography on him. He even left a clause in his will making sure no one did so.
3. Eliot was a really big fan of the film Duck Soup. The film came out in 1933 and has a 94% approval rating on rotten tomatoes.
