Brave Euripides
In terms of predictability and allure, I thought Medea's story was considerably unique, dark and unconventional. She's much more controversial compared to Oedipus, who, despite the incest and his prideful nature, is still a good person at heart and conventionally fulfills the role of a tragic protagonist. Euripides was brave to touch on topics that weren't necessarily favored by the Athenian public since this probably made his occupation as a playwright significantly harder; or maybe not? I wish we knew more about him!
