The Sistine Chapel

http://www.vatican.va/various/cappelle/sistina_vr/index.html

This site is so friggin cool. One of my friends just found it and posted it on Facebook. If you've evre been to the Sistine Chapel, this site will give you some nostalgia. If you've never been before, it will give you a great virtual view of the Sistine Chapel's interior. Minus the other several hundred people crammed in.

Steven this is awesome! I'm pumped to re-visit it again this summer. A little interesting fact about the Sistine Chappel that I stumbled upon while studying for the test last night is that Michelangelo's self-portrait appears twice in The Last Judgment: in the flayed skin held by St. Bartholomew near the center of the painting and in the figure in the lower left corner, who is watching the dead rise from their graves.

I agree that this is an amazing website! I haven't visited the Sistine Chapel, unfortunately, so this is a great way to experience the feeling of standing inside such a beautiful place without actually traveling to Italy. Having seen various pictures of individual Sistine Chapel frescoes illustrated in books, it is really cool and much more impressive to view the actual placement of such frescos on the walls in their authentic enviroment. The art inside of this chapel is truly breathtaking, and I hope to see it in person sometime soon!

Yeah, actually, that's a really good point, Blaine. The sack of skin is kinda sickening. It's a little to the right of the center of the wall above the body of Christ. And it is said to be a self-portrait of Michelangelo, which I find really intriguing. Maybe that's how he felt after the hours he must have put in to create such a beautiful masterpiece.

This site is incredible, and it really does remind me of my visit there years ago. I honestly had forgotten how impressive the Sistine Chapel is. It is not just the artwork, but the entire composition that is the ceiling and walls. To think how much time was spent to create such a detailed masterpiece is mind boggling.

Woah, this site is awesome! I remember when I visited the Sistine Chapel I was overwhelmed by all of the art inside. The guards there are really protective over the ceiling. A man took a picture of some of the work and the guards yelled at him and made him delete his picture. They take their job seriously but for good reason, it preserves Michaelangelo's art!

Samsung has crammed its cameras with a variety
of software like Eraser, Drama Shot, Cinema Shot, Story Album, Sound Shot, Dual-Shot and Beauty Shot.

Both the displays are easily among the best, with the i - Phone 4 marginally leading the way in terms of display quality
and the Galaxy S winning the size battle. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is, to
begin with a LTE network compatible smartphone
handset that is capable of handling speeds in the range of 30 to
60 mega bytes per second.
