Dali's Famous Stunts

Dali was not only one of the most influential and greatest artist in the 20th century, but he also was notorious for his ridiculous stunts and pranks. As he became more famous, his stunts became more and more ridiculous. One of his most well-known activities was when he gave a lecture at a Surrealist convention in the 1960s. He showed up to the lecturing dawning a deep sea diving suit. He began giving the lecture but soon realized that he couldn't breathe while doing so. He was flailing around soundlessly, while the audience was laughing uncontrollably. It wasn't until he passed out that the audience realized this was no joked. Apparently he wore the suit to symbolize how he was at the bottom of the sea of the subconscious. Another one of his stunts is when he and his wife, Gale, wore matching costumes of the Lymberg baby and the Lynberg baby kidnapper. Many people were obviously very upset about this and he received lots of backlash. Dali was famous for his paintings but perhaps more famous for his outlandish stunts.
