Midnight Showing!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1714866/

They're making Midnight's Children into a movie. It comes out this fall. Just speculating, I'm sure the movie is going to be much different because there is absolutely no way they can fit that much detail and plot into a standard movie length of one and a half hours. Wonder what the reviews will say!

I can't wait to see a preview! I will definitely go see the movie. The entire time I was reading the book, I pictured it as a movie, just like we said in class.

I don't know how good a movie can accurately portray a novel in this nature. The majority of this novel involves descriptions and many, many small actions. I don't know if the story will retain its full effect when only the main points are covered. I thought the preview we saw from the Tin Drum seemed pretty solid, nevertheless.

I think this would be a good movie and easy to make. Saleem can just narrate the entire thing and they can simply jump to events in his life.It should be interesting and I would go see it

That is going to be a really long movie. There is so much that they will have to incorporate if they want to do the book justice. After all they will have to go from saleems childhood to adulthood.

I definitely don't think that the movie will do the book justice. Theres no way that you can capture rusdies detail and writing style on film.
