By the time we are done with high school, we would have made about seventy posts on this AP English blog and we will never look back except for perhaps a few nostalgic moments later in life. Although we might forget the contents posted, we should retain the skills learned by making these blog posts.
I know that I will need these skills starting in a few months because everyone on my future cross-country team shares training logs online. They post every run, workout, and race on this online training log and write a few sentences about how the run went, their feeling about it, etc. For whatever reason, this reminded me of the blogging that we do every week. I think that the blogging I do every week will help articulate my feelings on my training logs because I am gradually learning how to articulate my feelings about various elements of literature.
I know that the blogging skills I'm developing will benefit me in more aspects than commenting on my training logs but I am not exactly sure in what areas. As my title says, how will you use your skills obtained by writing these blogs?

I think these blog posts are a great exercise in articulating one's opinion on something in a way that everyone can easily access, and for sharing ideas with a group and creating a pool of joint knowledge. It helps to teach us how to share opinions in a respectful way and to debate topics with relative politeness. It is something that will help us in future classroom discussions in college and beyond.
I actually love blogging about things I am passionate about. I am actually a member of various blogs right now where I can share my tips and information with others while also learning new things from them too. It is a place where everyone can express their opinions and beliefs. It can also be a safe place for those who have stuff in common or participate in the same activities. Running blogs are a great way to share workouts and learn new ones, hunting and fishing blogs can help those inexperienced or new to certain areas become successful, and political and current events blogs can even help broaden views. Overall blogging is a great way to meet new people who are similar to you! This blogging we are doing right now is not only insightful and a place to share what we thought of a certain work of literature, but it is also a place to put yourself out there and discover your character.
I think blogging teaches us patience and allows us to see reason behind arguments through typed out words. Yes, it is nice to express emotion and what you are passionate about, but educating yourself through concrete knowledge with infinite sources at your hand (articles, images, videos, etc) allows you to direct your focus primarily for the reason of gaining knowledge! I know I have very much enjoyed the conversations we have on the blog and the debates we have in class on the controversial, thought provoking works we have read!
This is a good question San. I never did think about how these blogposts might help me later in life until now. Now that you mention it, though, I think that the blogposts are a neat thing to have because it helps us to not only express thoughts towards the topics presented to us in the classroom but also to help us become better writers. As someone who isn’t very fond of writing papers and isn’t very good at writing either, I feel like the blogposts have helped me appreciate writing a little bit more because the blog has allowed me to write about things I care about and share my knowledge to my peers. I also just love the aesthetic of the blog itself. It’s really nice being able to see how other people in our class think. The best part though is when there are interesting debates as Farah and Elise have previously mentioned. Without the blogs, I feel like our class wouldn’t be as interesting (not to say it WOULDN'T be interesting) so I am glad we have them!
I definitely agree with all these great points! I love seeing everyone's point of view and ideas. I also love that the blog encourages making connections to other works we have read or just other things we have experienced; by writing these weekly blogs, I have made so many connections to some of my favorite shows and books, which has given me a deeper understanding and appreciation for them. Also, I personally don't talk very much in class, which is something I'm working on, hehe, but it is usually because I'm kind of taking everything in and thinking to myself. I enjoy the blog because it's an opportunity to add to conversations and talk together outside of class, and to continue thinking about what we're studying.
