So I was looking up some pictures of Gregor to get an idea of what other people pictured him as, and I got a lot of different results. A lot of them I expected, like pictures of cockroaches on beds and a few dung beetles, but others surprised me, like one that seemed to be some sort of play adaptation. I've attached a few of the ones I found.

I always love seeing artists' reditions of different literary scenes. Each one seems to take the work with a completely different approach. The first picture is almost comical, while the one with the human head is downright disturbing.
I did the same thing when I first read Metamorphosis. I think the last picture is very interesting. It must have been a play or something. It's interesting to see Gregor as a human rather than an actual cockroach, although he mimics a cockroach. It makes you sympathize more with him to see that he still maintains a human shape.
The image in my head of Gregor most resembles the third picture you posted. I pictured him with his human head and vermin body. I pictured his head bigger than the one in that drawing though. I pictured it to be almost the size of his body actually... I've always found it fascinating how descriptions pan out differently in everyones minds.
I always imagined Gregor as the first picture. The artist took great care to emphasize the details, especially in his grimy room. I chuckled when I noticed he was reading. All seem to convey the idea that while he may appear as a bug, he is still part human.
