Besides being similar in looks, these two characters also have similar roles. From watching one of the Harry Potter movies, I remember that Fluffy guarded the entrance to the place where the Sorceror's stone was kept. Cerberus also guards something, the Gluttons in Dante's Inferno.
haha Julia, I love how you find all of these Harry Potter connections! But as I mentioned in class today, I seem to remember there being trees that wine or talk or something in Harry Potter....maybe like the weeping willows? I think that was it, but it made me think of the trees that talk in the suicide woods.
