I've chosen one. The title of my paper is (as it currently stands): "The Inevitable Tragedy Inherent in Greatness." I am attempting to explore how Euripides and Sophocles put forth the notion that great people, by their nature, must fall from greatness, that Medea's and Oedipus's great qualities (i.e., the qualities in them that are part of their "greatness") lead to their demises.
I would like to say that this paper was extremely difficult to prewrite and is a complete bitch, and that sometimes I must wonder how English teachers sleep at night-- because I certainly never do!
I think mine's gonna be about how Sophocles, through oedipus rex, expressed the socratic idea that the taco should be hard shelled, and how Euripides, through Medea, expressed the Platonic concept that the perfect form of the taco is, in fact, soft shelled.
I do believe this is post 14 for the night. I'm just trying to catch up with the ones i missed. I know itss too late for this now seeing how everyone would be done with their papers by now, but my topic was how Medea could be considered a tragedy even though Aristotle did not think so. I'm glad the paper's done though. Just the college essay is left.

I'll start this off - who has chosen a topic yet? Anyone still, um... brainstorming topics, like me?

I was think about discussing the tragic figure in Medea
I think that I want to write about oedipus, but I cannot find information on greek predestination. anyone care to comment?
Mine is somehow going to tie together Aristotle, Oedipus, Medea, and tragic flaw. I have no idea how this will be done by Friday!
Im relating parts of the Auden essay to Socrates and the 4 Greek virtues
I think I'm changing mine to the comparison of your mom and your face.
i'm discussing perfect forms of greek gender roles using medea and sappho
I actually think I might incorporate your mom's face into my paper. It might come between the part about your mom and your face.
